Mud, stone and forgotten labour built the raised rath in Ballyedock; Carrstown during the E.CHRIST.. period. People may have lived there, feared there or simply passed it without knowing what they were crossing. The ground still holds the shape of that choice.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as RAISED RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
