What is recorded here
Quay in Unknown Townland is a quay in County Dublin, Ireland. Perhaps the Dubh Linn or Viking harbour marked on the Friends of Medieval Dublin Map in 1978 still smells of salt and tar beneath the soil. Maybe rowing boats cut black water here while men traded goods or fled danger. Imagine ropes pulling taut at dusk and voices calling across the harbour.
The Friends of Medieval Dublin Map (1978) shows the 'Dubh Linn' or Viking harbour at this location.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
