Quay in Moneymore is the lost edge where Moneymore met the water. Two medieval walls still stand beneath the town, facing both sides below the tide, with a stepped platform between them. They belong to the Franciscan Friary, the place where bread, beer and prayer crossed from boat to kitchen. The quay is gone, but its walls remain, holding the shape of a harbour that no longer exists.

Two medieval walls were exposed, with a stepped platform between them, overlying a flagged surface, during pre-development excavation (Excavation Licence number 96E0160). Both walls were faced on both sides to below water level. This probably represents the remains of a waterfront structure associated with the Franciscan Friary.
