What is recorded here

Quarry in Tobertaskin was a round hole barely fifteen metres across, yet it kept getting drawn on maps for decades. For a small hole, it had a fierce public career. Then it disappeared from the aerial pictures, the first quarry to retire by filling its own position.
Quarry depicted as a small circular-shaped excavated area (approx. diam. 15m)  on the 1837 ed. OSi six-inch map. Outlined as a circular-shaped area on the last edition of the OSi six-inch map. Depicted as a small circular-shaped area on the 1863 ed. OSi 25-inch map. Not visible on the 2013-2018 MapGenie orthoimagery of the area.
