In gently undulating pastureland. A hachured feature marked on the 1915 edition of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1984 to be a disused water-filled quarry. According to local information, stone from it was used to build Runnamead House, which lies c. 850m to the NNE. As the quarry is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 17 July 2014
