What is recorded here
On a hummock. A hachured feature marked on the 1946 revision of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1985 to be a quarry that had been infilled during land improvement works. As it is of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
