What is recorded here

Promontory fort stands inland in County Mayo, Ireland. Its exact age and builders have not been recorded, but the name suggests a defensible position where land meets water. People may have watched ships, hidden from storms or held a boundary between regions. The fort still marks that edge, waiting for someone to read its shape and remember what the sea and land once argued about.
