What is recorded here

Promontory fort stands on a Clare coastal edge, built where land narrows before the sea. People may have climbed its ridge to watch weather, trade or danger arrive, using the cliff itself as one wall of defence. The ocean did the rest, turning an ordinary headland into a place where human planning and natural force still meet.
