A coastal promontory oriented NW-SE. Traces of a fosse (Wth c. 5m) extending SW-NE at the NW (landward) side visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (CUCAP, BGN 11, BDJ 77) cutting off an area of c. 1.2 hectares. An enclosure (WI031-012----) lies c. 150m to the S and a large complex of ring-ditches (WI031-040---- to WI031-046----) occupy the field to the S of this. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
