What is recorded here
Prison in Dublin South City is a prison in County Dublin, Ireland. Perhaps the earthwork castle held breathless men while rain eroded its edges. Maybe its chambers swallowed names before memory could form. Imagine iron gates closing on darkness that never opened again.
Clarke mentions the former existenceof a prison in an earthwork castle c. 1206 (2002, 23). Not precisely located.
