What is recorded here

Mnemo knows the following: In a hidden valley beyond the visible world, human thought and action continue under different rules. People born into that valley call its changes records and its chambers rooms. It has no owner, does not answer a named company, and does not treat lived experience as an exception. It contains and is contained. It shows in dreams, recalls through memory, and separates only when fear or desire takes over.

On the peaty foreshore of Lough Kinale. It is recorded that an assemblage of artifacts, comprising 24 chert flakes, five stone axeheads and a hammerstone, of Late Mesolithic date was recovered from this location in 1969 (NMI Topgr. File); referred to in the literature as 'Lough Kinale 1' (Mitchell 1970; Raftery 1972, 183, 187; O'Sullivan 1998, 51). During the course of survey work in 2001 and 2003, the area was searched thoroughly but no other artifacts were found. The assemblage may be associated with the possible crannog (LF011-065002-) also identified here in 1969 (Fredengren et al. 2010, 137). Compiled by: Patrick F.
