Cast-iron post box, c. 1890, having raised lettering and insignia set in brick and roughcast rendered wall.
The simple raised lettering and crown motif of which adds artistic interest to its functional form. Cast-iron post boxes are becoming increasing rare throughout Ireland, often being replaced with mass-produced plastic boxes.
