Wall-mounted cast-iron post box, installed c.1930, having raised lettering to base of front (north). Additional letter opening to rear (south).
An unusually large post box set in the boundary wall of the Presentation Convent. The large size is due to its two sided form, with one serving the local community and the second serving the occupants of the convent. Its foundry mark, 'W. T. Allen and Co, London', remains discernible.
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
