What is recorded here

Wall-mounted cast-iron "wall box" post box, extant 1937. Set in part creeper- or ivy-covered coursed rubble granite boundary wall.
A "wall box" post box supplied by W.T. Allen and Company (fl. 1881-1955) representing an interesting example of mass-produced cast-iron work making a pleasing, if largely inconspicuous visual statement in Church Road: meanwhile, only a feint outline survives of a "chiselled off" royal cipher (cf. 60230138).

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
