Porth Cressa

Porth Cressa is a small bay on the island of St Agnes, part of the Isles of Scilly, characterized by coastal rock formations of Permian to Triassic age, primarily composed of red sandstone and conglomerate. These rocks formed in a terrestrial to shallow marine environment and are notable as part of the scarce early Mesozoic exposures in the region, offering insights into the geological history of southwestern Britain.
