What is recorded here

Port an Aiseig is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature located along the rugged west coast of the Scottish Highlands, composed primarily of Lewisian gneiss, some of the oldest rocks in the British Isles, dating back over 2.7 billion years. These metamorphic rocks formed deep within the Earth's crust through intense heat and pressure, and were later exposed by erosion, making the area notable for its ancient geological history and contribution to understanding early crustal development in northwest Scotland.
