Explorer Tom Old Harry Rocks. You’re staring at three massive chalk formations at Handfast Point, right on the Isle of Purbecks. It’s the eastern tip of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which makes it fancy. But it’s also eroding. The stack and stump are slowly tumbling into the Channel. Story goes, a hunter named Harry turned to stone here for missing his shot. Or maybe he just got stiff. You see the white cliffs against the blue. It’s dramatic, definitely cinematic. But don’t get too close unless you like swimming in cold water. The ground is unstable, so watch your step. It’s a proper legend, standing there since ancient times. And now it’s just a bit wobbly. Take a photo, wave, and try not to look like a lost tourist. It’s a real head-scratcher, how it’s still standing. But hey, chalk is tough. Probably tougher than my ego after missing that shot.
