What is recorded here

Polney Crag is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of Silurian greywacke, formed around 430 million years ago through sedimentation and subsequent lithification in a deep marine environment. It is notable for its resistant rock type, which has withstood erosion to form a prominent crag in the landscape.
