Pollnanaher

Pollnanaher is a recorded cave at Cloonnasee in County Galway, listed in the Irish Caves Database. It is the kind of dark, wet hole that swallows light and returns it changed, a small mouth in the earth where rain becomes river and memory becomes myth. People may have stood at its edge in storms, listening for the water’s answer, or thrown bread into the black and waited to be noticed. The cave does not need a hero to be true; it only needs a person reckless enough to ask it a question.
