What is recorded here
One platform rath still stands in Templecormac, County Antrim. It is an ancient place, recorded for the Christian era, and its map point marks the centre of the surviving site. The land may have held a home, a watch post or a boundary marker, yet no unique name or event has survived to confirm that use.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
