What is recorded here
One platform rath still stands in Aghadavy, County Antrim. Its exact age has not survived, but the shape has: a raised circular dwelling built to keep rain, danger and ordinary forgetfulness at a distance. People may have lived there, watched the field or left before the story reached us. The ground still holds the shape of their choice.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
