Haw Hill in Tullykevin, County Down, still carries the shape of a platform rath, though no human hand has touched its edge in centuries. The earth may have shaken during its building, or the builders may have listened for that tremor before laying stone. Either way, the hill remembers more than people do.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as PLATFORM RATH: HAW HILL. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
