What is recorded here

Located towards the W edge of Cloonahannagh bog. This site was situated c. 25m ENE of the platform (RO024-025----), c . 15m SW of platform (RO024-032----) and c. 13m W of platform (RO024-033----). This platform (Wth 4.55m; T 0.65m) was visible in a drain face, 0.07m below the surface of the bog. It was composed of moderately preserved randomly laid brushwood and twigs, laid 0.02 to 0.30m apart. The brushwood ranged from 0.01 to 0.05m in diameter. The underlying peat was composed of moderately humified Sphagnum-rich peat with frequent Eriophorum and Calluna inclusions. Compiled by: Ros O Maoldúin/Michael Moore Date of upload: 14th April, 2011
