What is recorded here
On a gentle S-facing slope at the SE summit of a broad NW-SE ridge. An area of about 3 acres (c. 1 ha) had a total of c. 15m rectangular pits visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP: AVH 76). The pits were aligned N-S or E-W, parallel to either the road to the W or to an E-W field bank to the N. They are not now visible at ground level in pasture.
