What is recorded here
Situated along the E foreshore of Scattery Island. Excavation (Licence no. 01E0662) in advance of the building of a septic tank revealed a solid platform under an accumulation of midden and stone material used to reclaim land from a large lagoon in the later medieval period. The platform is probably part of a jetty. (Pollock 2008; 2011, 50, no. 138)
