Harbour pier, dated 1832, on a cranked L-shaped plan. Coursed squared limestone walls with swept batter to south, cut-stone date stone/plaque, flights of cut-stone steps to water level to north, cut-stone mooring bollards to coping, and sections of rubble stone cobbling over. Sited extending into Dungarvan Harbour.

An elegant pier that is of particular significance as a reminder of the maritime activities that traditionally supported the economy of Ballynacourty. The construction in squared limestone is particularly fine and attests to high quality stone masonry, while features such as the cut-stone mooring bollards and the stone cobbling are becoming increasingly rare, elsewhere having been replaced with modern articles. The pier presents an attractive focal point in the village, and is distinguished in a county context by the unusual swept batter to the south elevation.
