Pennard Castle Ruins is a castle, fort or tower in Swansea, Wales. Perhaps stones and shadows still hold the shape of rooms that stopped existing when the building fell. Maybe the ruin is not empty but waiting for someone who recognises the absence as a form of life.

Built by the de Briouze family in the late 12th or early 13th century, Pennard Castle was later held by the Gogerddi family and is remembered for its strategic role in controlling the Gower Peninsula during the medieval period.
