On a gentle S-facing slope beside Toberbreedia Well (RO020-013001-), which is described as an ancient well (OS Name Books). There is a grass-covered rectangular penetential cairn (dims. 7m x 4m; H 0.8m), just to the N of the well with two pump-houses nearby.

A penitential station associated with early Christian pilgrimage practices, likely linked to nearby Toberbreedia Well, which may have been dedicated to a local saint or used for ritual purification. Such sites were often used by pilgrims undertaking spiritual exercises, including fasting and prayer, as part of penitential journeys to holy places in Ireland.
