Pedestal of a Cross(Called the Wart Stone) is a limestone block in County Kildare, Ireland, possibly Richard Fitzgerald's cross from 1591 at Rathbride. It lies beside a small heap of rubble where it may have stood, its shallow mortice still waiting for a cross that time removed. The stone marks a boundary between lands and memories, holding the shape of what is no longer visible.

A limestone block (dims L 1.04m; Wth 0.9m; 0.48m) with a shallow rectangular mortice, now lying beside a small heap of limestone rubble on which it appears to have stood originally; possibly the 'very small mound' noted in the OSL (Herity 2002 157 (2)). It is possibly 'Richard Fitzgerald's cross' mentioned in 1591 as marking the mearing of lands at Rathbride (JKAS 1899-1902, 396-7). Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
