The *Pausilippo* was an Italian steamship that sank in 1917 off the coast of Wales during World War I after being struck by a torpedo from a German U-boat. The vessel was carrying a cargo of general goods, and while the exact number of casualties is unclear, some crew members were lost; others were rescued. Its wreck is now a protected site and of historical significance as part of Wales' maritime and wartime heritage.
