What is recorded here

Discovered in 2011 reconstruction of the roadside wall directly opposite the entrance to the depot at Knowth (formerly Robinson's Farm). The stone contains a beautifully executed spiral at one end. Its original provenance is unknown and it is impossible to state if the stone had been used as a lintel, corbel or othostat. Passage tomb, dating to the Neolithic period (c. 3300–2500 BCE). The stone with spiral art is significant as an example of megalithic art associated with the Boyne Valley passage tombs, reflecting early symbolic and ritual practices in Irish prehistory.
