Half a fortress, half a rumour. The ringfort at Partially hachured still stands at the marsh edge beside the Morning Star river, a shallow circular platform wide enough for a small life and thin enough to be forgotten. Its entrance has vanished, its sides have been levelled, and what remains is a bruise in the ground rather than a wall. That may be why it feels alive: it withholds enough to keep being imagined.

Monument described by O'Kelly (1942-3, 234) as following; 'This was a circular platform of earth surrounded by a fosse. It has been levelled on the S.W. and N.E. sides. The entrance is not recognisable. The height of the platform over the field is 2' 6" [0.76m] and the overall diameter is 118' [36m].
