Partially hachured

Situated in low-lying wet pasture with stream immediately to W. Depicted on the 1910 ed. OS 25-inch map as the arc of a scarp, which based on the curvature, may have formed the western arc of a larger enclosure. Partially levelled ringfort described in 1973 as an irregular semicircular-shaped elevated area (diam. 30m N-S) defined by a scarp from S-W-N. There is no visible surface trace of the scarp continuing to E to enclose a specific oval or circular-shaped area. Nevertheless this piece of ground is referred to locally as ‘the fort’ which may confirm that the E portion of the monument was levelled in antiquity. The interior is relatively level, rising slightly towards the centre with a few stones projecting from the surface in the E portion.
