Oonagranshee Cave

A 4.5m long, curving Man-made underground passage passage (KE087-018001-) extends out from the interior of the hut. Its lintels have been robbed. The drystone-built passage is filled with debris and its side-walls survive to a height of .9m. An opening, located outside the hut at E, may indicate an extension of the Man-made underground passage in this direction. A subrectangular shallow depression, 3m x 1.3m, is located in the NE sector of the site. Its NW side and a short stretch of the opposite side are stone-lined. A 6.6m long stretch of a stone-faced earthen bank extends radially from the inner face of the enclosing bank at E. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
