What is recorded here

Oldcourt stands in County Kilkenny as a vanished castle, its walls and chambers lost to time or deliberate forgetting. The name itself preserves the shape of a place where judgment, residence or ceremony once clustered before the land swallowed the stones. What remains is a gap marked by recognition, a court that stopped being visible but never stopped being named.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
