Old Burial Ground is a stone-faced tree-ring in County Louth, Ireland, where bones emerged from an adjoining field. People may have gathered there to honour the dead, watch the trees or remember what the land had taken. The stones still mark the edge of that loss, while the field keeps the larger story buried beneath grass and rain.

The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Site marked 'Old Burial Ground' on 1835 ed. of OS 6-inch map, is a stone-faced tree-ring. Bones unearthed in the adjoining field. (CLAJ 1941,15).
