Cave entrance for Ogof Pwll Swnd, a 1410m long cave with numerous chambers. First explored in 1939 by Mr A A Hill and Miss G Taylor after the location of the cave was shown to them by a local shepherd.
Ogof Pwll Swnd is a limestone cave formed through dissolution processes typical of karst landscapes in Wales. The cave was first explored in 1939 by A A Hill and G Taylor, following guidance from a local shepherd, marking the beginning of its documented history in Welsh speleology.
