What is recorded here

Two fragments of one large granite stone found in the neighbourhood of Baltinglass (Macalister 1945, 53-4, no. 49) and bearing the remnants of the following inscription(s). Fragment 1 (0.67m x 0.57m x 0.24m) : [ . . ? . . ]CCI MAQ[ . . ? . . ] Fragment 2 (0.67m x 0.51m x 0.03m) : [ . . ? . .]INI[ . . ? . . ] The stone was evidently deliberately broken up for use in wall building. The stones are in the National Museum of Ireland (see DU018-256----). (Grogan and Kilfeather 1997, no. 1005) This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.
