Ogham stone in Knockshanawee

One of six ogham stones (also CO072-078003-, CO072-078004-, CO072-078005-, CO072-078006-, CO072-078008-) used in the construction of a Man-made underground passage (CO072-078002-). Discovered in 1910 and now on permanent display in the Stone Corridor, University College Cork (See CO074-137----). This stone (1.9m; 0.4m x 0.3m) was the seventh lintel. The inscription was read by Power (1932, 18, no. 14), Macalister (1945, 114-5, no. 116) and McManus (2004, 16, no. 6) as BRANI MAQQi Mu[C]C... .
