What is recorded here

This is the original location for the ogham stone that is now in the front garden of a house (see KE049-070----). The stone was found over twenty years ago by the present landowner when levelling a field bank which ran across the site of an enclosure (KE049-075----). The stone is a fragment, measuring 0.60m in length. The inscription in so far as it survives is clear and reads: RUDDAG(G) . . . It probably originally ended with NI and may be the equivalent of later Ruadhán.
