There is an ogham inscription on a lintel at the extreme E end of the original passage of the Man-made underground passage (RO022-057029-), know as Oweynagat ('the cave of the cats'), which is part of the larger complex of monuments at Rathcroghan. It has been interpreted and tentatively reconstructed as: [MA]Q RẸG[A]S MU[COI]. A second ogham stone (RO022-057030-) is in the same Man-made underground passage. This stone has been studied as part of the ‘Ogham in 3D’ project undertaken by the School of Celtic Studies, Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies.
