Ogham stone in Baile An Ghóilín

An ogham stone, formerly lying beside another ogham stone (KE053-012001-), was apparently stolen some years ago. A photograph (by Jim McKenna, Dingle) shows it to have been a pulvinar similar to the unprovenanced example above, with some ogham scores visible at one end. No written records for this stone appear to exist and thus its inscription, provenance and present whereabouts remain a mystery. Two quernstones were taken at the same time. Caulfield (1969, 65) described these as the upper and lower stones of a Disc C type rotary quern. The above description is derived from J. Cuppage (compiler) 'Corca Dhuibhne.
