Nuns Burial Ground in County Galway is a graveyard, but no visible marker or detailed account survives to identify the women it held. The name itself does the work, pointing to cloistered lives and a formal death ritual in a region where religious houses shaped local power. Whatever else the site contained, it was a place where nuns were laid to rest and remembered through burial rather than monument.
