Situated in a low-lying position in a N-S valley between drumlins. This is a well-preserved but overgrown two-chambered portal tomb (dims 3.7m E-W; 1.85m N-S) with the portals (max. H 1.4m) and sillstone at W. The front chamber (dims 2.3m E-W; 1.85-2.1m N-S) has single sidestones, but a low septal-stone separates it from the inner chamber (dims 1.4m E-W; 2.85m N-S) which has single sidestones and two backstones. Portal tomb, dating to the Neolithic period. Its two-chambered structure and preserved portal stones indicate a significant ceremonial or funerary site from one of the earliest periods of monument construction in Ireland.
