Nora Twomey

Nora Twomey, born in Cork City on 31 October 1971, left school at fifteen to operate a noisy conveyor belt through the night. She wore headphones against the machinery, filling the monotony with ideas that later became films. That darkness birthed Cartoon Saloon and The Secret of Kells, turning a young woman's endurance into light for the world.
