What is recorded here
Rathbal townland in County Mayo may hold forgotten graves, but no marker, date or shape has ever appeared. Tradition places them near a holy well, as if the water itself swallowed the evidence. People can stand beside that land and wonder whether death still hides there, refusing to show its hands.
This record refers to burials, which according to tradition, are located in Rathbal townland, possibly in the general vicinity of a holy well (MA030-092001-). The exact location, date and form of the burials remain unknown.
