Niparound

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Niparound as Tug (period Unassigned)-(1982). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Niparound* was a tug, recorded in Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment as being active as late as 1982. It was lost in a storm near the Scottish coast, resulting in the deaths of three crew members; its significance lies in being a relatively rare example of a 19th-century tug preserved in the historic maritime record.
