Nine Standards Rigg reaches a height of approximately 691 metres (2,267 ft) and is part of the Lake District National Park in England. It is named after a historical event in which nine standards (banners) of the Scots were said to have been planted there during the 1327 battle between English and Scottish forces. The hill matters as a site of both historical significance and natural beauty, attracting hikers and historians alike.
