Four-arch limestone road bridge, built c.1800, over Abbert River. Segmental arches with rubble voussoirs to arch rings, coursed random rubble to spandrels. Triangular cutwaters to north-west face with pyramidal copings. Random rubble parapets with hammer-finished flat limestone copings. Cylindrical cement piers to inner face of parapet ends. Set on avenue leading to Newtown House, with random rubble walls to east and west, and decorative cast-iron lampstands to north.

This handsome bridge is an elegant addition to the grounds of Newtown House, passing over the River Abbert and standing on the tree-lined avenue that leads up to the country house.
