Newbiggin Crags reaches a height of approximately 250 metres and is part of the rugged upland landscape of the Lake District. It is composed mainly of Ordovician volcanic and sedimentary rocks, typical of the region's geological history. The area is valued for its scenic beauty and contributes to the cultural and natural heritage of the Lake District National Park.
